Speech To Text Reviews Why Nibity Rates Best - Nibity

Speech To Text Reviews – Why Nibity Rates Best

Reviewed by Staff Writer at TheHoth (2019)

What if I told you, I didn’t write what you’re reading. That wouldn’t make much sense unless you’ve put two and two together and drawn conclusions from the title. Like with any amazing invention, voice recognition software can make your life simpler; however, you will find yourself spoiled for choice.

So, how do you choose what’s right for you?

I’ve experimented with tons of voice recognition software, and I figured now would be a good time to write a Nibity speech to text review, especially after looking at so many other speech to text reviews. It’s one of the few that stood out, and I hope this will be somewhat useful to anyone considering their services.

Let’s Kick Things off with the Pros.

As an interviewer in constant search for good transcription websites, I’ve had my fair share of experience with these kinds of services. So, I’d like to start off my review by going over the features that compared favorably to the other transcription services I’ve used before.

1. It Is Remarkably Accurate

It’s all well and good to praise speech to text software, but the bots or AI are never as accurate as you want them to be. The thing people often lose focus on is, it isn’t typing, its transcribing that you want out an audio to text service.

The great thing about Nibity, is that they have a real, living transcriber team of actual humans.

This is particularly refreshing, given a world where everyone seems to assume that machines make no mistakes. Wrong! I can guarantee, that while we’ve made great progress with voice recognition software, we have a long way to go.

You still need a bit of a human touch to get an accurate transcription.

Why settle for a bot that aspires to be almost as good as a human, when you can have access to actual humans?

2. A Simple Process

There’s a lot of charm to something that’s easy. The whole appeal of having an audio to text converter is to make your job simpler.

If I wanted it to be this long arduous process, I’d do it myself. Rather ungracefully, I might add. The entire process with Nibity has been extremely smooth. As long as your audio is relatively decent you should have no issues.

They need you to register in the beginning, upload your audio and they eventually give you updates on the status of your order.

3. Quick Speech to Text Turnaround

Nobody likes waiting. And unfortunately, when you want an accurate transcription, that’s often the price you’ve got to pay. Knowing that they use human transcribers instead of automated bots made me a bit skeptical at first.

However, I’m pleased to note that they took less than a day to deliver. I’ve got to say, that’s pretty impressive. They use actual people who get paid to transcribe and specialize in understanding the nuances of speech.

They do specify that they take a bit longer depending on the size of the audio file, but as long as its shorter than 30 minutes, you can expect it within a day.

4. Cost-Effective for Bulk Orders

I won’t deny that there are plenty of audio to text converters out there that you could get at a cheaper rate. However, the quality and accuracy of those are questionable at best.

Given Nibity’s exceptional accuracy (99%+), it’s definitely a service with very reasonable pricing.

For one time users, the standard rate is set at $1.25 per minute of audio (check here for latest price packages). However, if you’re planning on transcribing audio to text more frequently, I’d highly recommend their other packages, which start well below a Dollar.

They have an onsite calculator that gives you a direct quote, but if you have any specific instructions you have to communicate it separately.

5. Their Multi-User Feature

One of the most interesting aspects of Nibity’s services is that it allows for a multi-user account. This is particularly helpful for law firms, reporters, or other corporates who need transcriptions every day.

How it works:

  • Someone signs up as an administrator
  • Users are added or removed at the administrator’s discretion

They also allow for a pool of credits that can be shared between users, which I imagine would be particularly helpful for bulk users.

Nibity Speech to Text Review: The Cons

No review would be complete without mentioning the cons. However, spoiler alert: there aren’t many.

1. It May Not Be Ideal for One-Time Users

You may have noticed that a few of the pros reflect why this is a great speech to text service for corporates or bulk users.

Now, do I mean that you shouldn’t go for it if you’re not some huge corporate or journalist? Absolutely not.

But I do have to say that it depends on what you want to get transcribed. If you’re a student looking for a quick one time project, this probably isn’t ideal for you. For a not-so-important single-use, you might be better off using some kind of software.

2. How Long Is Too Long?

Look, this is something you need to decide for yourself. If it’s a simple task, you just might be better off with an app. If you want something truly accurate and are willing to wait at least a day, then this should work fine for you.

If you’re looking for real-time transcriptions then, perhaps this is not for you.

The Big Question And To Sum Up

What do I want you to take away from my speech to text reviews, particularly this one for Nibity?

Do I recommend it? Yes, I do. Why?

Because the pros by far, outweigh the cons.

  • It’s more accurate than most speech to text software
  • It is simple to use
  • You can expect a quick turnaround
  • Cost-effective packages to choose from
  • Multi-user perks

If you’re looking for bulk orders and this is something you do on a regular basis, then it should be a no-brainer. If you’re going for a single-use kind of deal, then you can perhaps explore other options and see what works for you.
